About ActUp

What's ActUp?

ActUp Ltd is a New Zealand-based company established in 1999. ActUpInternational and ActUpStar are our trading names. Our curriculum and careers modules have been purchased and used by primary and secondary schools in New Zealand and overseas. We've received two contestable New Zealand government department grants to develop drama-based modules for schools. Many productions of our theatre plays have also been produced. We've twice been invited to present about ActUp at the Oxford International Round Table Symposium in the United Kingdom.

What's an ActUp module?

ActUp modules use an organisation's existing information and resources to introduce curriculum or career information in classroom. Modules have a short play, discussion questions and activities, gender neutral characters, easy dialogue, and need no acting skills. In the classroom act out the play, answer questions and carry out activities. Teachers can use all or some of the module depending on their needs.

Where's ActUp based?

ActUp is based in Wellington, New Zealand.
